Groups

Groups are shown where they are already active or potentially starting. If you would like more info or you are interested in starting a group please use the contact form.

Those arranging meetings are called CONVENERS (rather than Coodinator which is a title reserved for the person who overseas all the conveners!). In some cases there will also be a Group leader (who runs the group) - hope this isn't too confusing!

Art practical
ART GROUP ONE (Practical) meet from 10am until 12 noon on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at the Youth and Community Centre, next to John O'Gaunt School. Most attending work in water colour but all medium are equally welcome. You need to bring all your own art materials; a "still life subject" is usually displayed for those wishing to tackle it. We are a self help group who are all keen on producing work but we have no structured tuition. What are you waiting for ? A £2 per head charge is levied at each attendance to cover the room hire costs (and for tea/coffee/biscuits). In summer months we may choose to meet for an outdoor painting challenge and some pub grub! In 2017 the weather conspired against us, every second & forth Wednesday in June, July and August being wet and miserable.
