Art practical
ART Practical meet from 10am until 12 noon on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at the Youth and Community Centre, next to John O'Gaunt School - BUT NOT DURING LOCKDOWN!
Most attending work in water colour but all medium are equally welcome.
You need to bring all your own art materials; a "still life subject" is usually displayed for those wishing to tackle it.
We are a self help group who are all keen on producing work but we have no structured tuition.
What are you waiting for ? A £3 per head charge is levied at each attendance to cover the room hire costs (and for tea/coffee/biscuits)
In summer months we may choose to meet for an outdoor painting challenge and some pub grub! In 2017 the weather conspired against us, every second & forth Wednesday in June, July and August being wet and miserable
LOCKDOWN ACTIVITIES
We had, I believe, an enjoyable exploratory Zoom meeting. Only 4 in attendance ( should have been 5 but one spent the whole 40 minutes trying to connect and sort out browser and router problems – better luck next time ).
Christine is working on a large stitchy thing, very impressive, and Beverley has been busy making cards for a charity, only 25 to go ...
and Edward showed us a couple of very nice water colour pictures he had completed. Latest project is “Corfe Castle”.
New members always welcome.
